What to Do If You Have Diabetes, Sleep Apnea, or Are Overweight

    If You Have Diabetes

    • Bring your latest A1C results (if available)

Don't hide any medical conditions — most issues can be worked through if documented properly. If you come prepared, you have a great chance of passing!

    Common Reasons Drivers Fail

    • Uncontrolled high blood pressure (above 140/90)
    • Vision problems (worse than 20/40 in each eye, even with glasses)
    • Hearing loss (inability to hear a forced whisper at 5 feet)
    • Uncontrolled diabetes (especially if blood sugar is too high)
    • Drug or alcohol use
    • Serious heart conditions without specialist clearance
    • Missing medical documents (like CPAP logs, specialist letters)
